Sunday Worship and Services

9.30am Holy Communion. A mix of modern and traditional hymns, Sermon (often stimulating) we have a Sunday School which meets during the service, but chidren are welcome to stay throughout the service.
9.30am On the 3rd Sunday every month a Family Service - it's short (about 40 minutes); lively music and songs - a chidren's activity and talk;
After each service you may stay for coffee, tea and soft drinks and sometimes cakes
11.00am On the 2nd Sunday every in the month, a family type service, celebrating all the festivals is held at St Bertelines Church of England School, Norton Lane, Runcorn
6.00pm Evening Service, usually short; Quiet, sometimes with music.
6.00pm On the 3rd Sunday every month with Holy Communion; A quiet meditative service

Meetings through the Week

We hold regular midweek groups which are principally to debate current issues from a Christian perspective, a mums and toddlers morning in the church, Boys Brigade and, by appointment, counselling from a person centred approach and a clinical theological base.

We also hold regular parenting courses and listening courses.  A baptismal policy which allows everyone to have some form af service which will match the parents needs on their journey towards God.  No one will be refused.

Our Theology

We are principally an evangelical Anglican group, with mild charismatic leanings, and a sense of the mysticism of the awesomeness of God.  We try to balance 'the word' with 'the sacrament', and continually try to build the bridge between where people of the locality are and where they may eventually want to go in terms of meeting with God for themselves.

We believe in the Bible, prayer, healing, evangelism, and the Apostolic Creed.  We are also ecumenical.  Which means that we struggle to build on what we agree on, and agree to maintain our differences.  We are currently in close fellowship with the Methodists, United Reformed Church, and Roman Catholics.

Special Action

We aim to focus upon areas where there are speial needs to which we may be able to have some impact.  We are currently very concerned by THIRD WORLD DEBT, and have a special programme on the back of Christian Aid's work to resolve this issue.  Plaese see the additional pages Help the Poor Nations of the World and the particular plea to debt and equity conversion.  This is aimed to awaken multinational Companies to a new business opportunity.  Profitable and of spectacular benefit to two thirds of the world.
